Iris
I featured irises in a Flower Friday post a few weeks ago, but today when I walked into our backyard and saw that my very favorite irises were beginning to bloom I had to snap a couple photos & feature irises again. :-) We separated and transplanted many of our irises last year & the Blue Staccato variety decided to skip an entire season of blooming, so I was incredibly excited to see them begin to bloom today! You can read our previous iris post here.
Random book news:
1. Maggie Stiefvater's Linger trailer is spreading like wildfire around the blogosphere today, but it is such a lovely and creative trailer that I have to share it here also.
2. Novel Novice is giving away three copies of Kimberly Pauley's Sucks to Be Me & Still Sucks to Be Me. The giveaway ends May 31st & you can check it out here.
And one last iris pic! :-)
Happy Reading! :-)

Your iris' are lovely. My mother had one that was similar to this one when I was growing up and it was my favorite. It was called "Dot N Dash."
I almost posted pictures of my iris's too! Mine are a very pale lavender and are beautiful! I was happy when one was too heavy and I had to trim it to put in a vase. I find myself staring at it quite often! Yours are really beautiful and if you have any extra bulbs one day I'll take some! Gorgeous!
Thank you, Lorielle. I will have to look for Dot N' Dash irises next time we are at the nursery. I am always looking for more purple flowers to add to our yard. :)
Candace - Ooo... I bet your pale lavender irises are lovely. Next time we divide ours, I will send some up your way. I was so disappointed that our Blue Staccatos didn't do well after we divided them last year, but our yellow-bearded purple ones (not sure of the variety) seem much hardier.
